Hi,
I am currently 'looking around' trying out different companies and your packages seem well reviewed with a friendly community.

Can you please help with the following related to hosting in the UK ...

do you offer a dial-up account facility for internet access ? (if not anyone you recommend?)

if you are running FormMail (or clones) can you adjust server time such that the e-mail generated has a UK GMT timestamp, rather than USA? This question is not specifically about FormMail, but any feedback from other UK users would be welcome in relation to any problems using servers in the USA like the above example.

thanks
johnh

Not sure on the dial up part of the question but the server time is set to UK time even theough the actual location is in the US.

Hope this helps :)

Hello,

Thank you for your interest in Kualo. As Jim said server time is set to UK time so you should not have to adjust any scripts. We don't actually offer dial-up access for internet. I could recommend some providers but it really depends on what you are looking for, i.e. just 56k dialup, local rate, freecall and whether this is something you want to offer to your customers as well.

Generally Freeserve isn't bad for basic dialup - it does what you need to do. I wouldn't recommend BT as they seem to be experiencing problems at the moment with access to some pages on the internet. If you want to offer it to your customers, you may want to look at www.adial.co.uk who offer an anonymous dial up service so you can become a virtual isp.

I hope this information helps, although if you have any further questions please don't hesitate to get in touch.

Best regards,

Jo Stonehouse

thanks everyone for help.

Good news about UK server time.

Will have a try of adial.co.uk ... I'm looking for something similar to what UKREG / Fasthosts offered, just as an alternative for your customers if they do not already have a dial-up in place. Also handy for back-up to offer clients.

Now .. just got to back myself out of monthly trials with all the others .. hope to join up soon :)
