v1
. 150MB Space
. 5GB Transfer
. CGI, PHP, MySQL
. $12.95/mo
. OR $249.95 ONE TIME FEE

You get the fee of 20 months in advance and serve for lifetime? What is the trick here?

How do you get profit? In general, such customers somehow leave you in 2 years??

I would imagine that it is a semi-safe assumption that the site will be gone in that amount of time. I bet that a good portion don't last two years.

Maybe it's a strategy to get off to a start. The company could be looking fro some solid funding right off the bat, and customers willing to go all in get rewarded later on when the company has enough money to work itself...or soemthing

In short, I don't know ;) Those are just a few of my guesses. Generally, I don't tend to take hosts like this as seriously unless they have established themselves, but when you have the users to back it, as Kualo does, they must just be offering you a damn good deal ;)
