Yes it is actually! As you can see, I've just given my house a nice new lick of red paint. :D
Fabulous daaahling....I love red. ;)
So how far are you from Ben?
Well, he's not quite next door as London's quite a spread out city. He's about 12 miles south from me. :)
Cool! :) I'm learning a bit about your citys architecture in my Art history class right now. I don't think I realized how much Gothic is there!

London's architecture has to be, in my opinion, one of the most fascinating examples of mixed architecture in the world. Such a mish mesh of different styles, often right next door to each other.
Here's a few pics which show the architectural diversity of the city, thanks to www.skyscrapernews.com and www.imagesoftheworld.org

Then my job here is done :D
I'm going up to London tomorrow. Just for a day out really to have a look around then go onto a bar or club. Even though I live so close I never really go there very often so one of my friends said she would give me a tour of the place!
Last time I went to London was last year sometime and I went on the London Eye, was brilliant weather and could see for miles, if only I had remembered to take a camera!
I got to go to london my sophomore year to junior year summer. I thought it was absolutley great! I went to the tower of london, an underground bunker from ww2, madam tueso or however you spell her name (Wax Mussem), Buckingham Palace (well the outside since the queen was still in residence) it opened up to the public the day I left my euopean trip =(, I went to one of those archs I think it started with a W, I got to see london bridge and ben. It was a great experience, I went to more then just london but I would definently go back to london if I ever was n the neighborhood of europe again.
Dunno how you can afford to live in London Jo! Went to a few bars and then onto a club and spent so much money just on drinks! £3.20 for a bottle of Budweiser and £6 for a cocktail (just a glass, here I can get a whole jug for that much!).
Had a really good day overall, London gets a lot better at night though, during the day I got dragged round shopping which was an absolute killer!

Ahh there's skill involved to a cheap night out in London, you just have to know the places to go.
Naturally if you want to go to a funky bar, expect to pay funky prices... but I know of bars in London that do good pints under £2 and spirits and mixers for less...
Of course... we also have Wetherspoons in London, although even those are a bit more expensive than the ones in other regions I believe.
At the end of the day though, you paid over the odds, but I bet you had a killer night out.

Sounds like my idea of Hell! If you went shopping I imagine you were dragged up and down Oxford Street. That is the craziest street I think I've ever been on in any city I know, if you went there then you're lucky you didn't go on a Saturday as then it can be a battle every time you want to push forward another metre!
