Hi All. Have any of you fellow resellers out there set up a "Community Forum" of your own yet? :)

Hi Hal.... Yes, most forums are easy to set up, think last count ws 37 I have done ranging from php to cgi...
If you need any help just give me a shout :)
Mark
Mark, VERY nice skin you have on your forum!
I don't have a forum on my own site yet, but am planning one for my clients. I have set up forums for my clients though; I recommend Invisionboard to them, unless they need the added power of vBulletin.
Hi All,
MacGirl, Have you tried the XMB forum that comes with CPanel?
HAL :)
HAL, haven't tried XMB yet. I've heard both good and bad about that board. Is it true they're no longer developing it? I might try it as a test on my own site.

Looks great, vshosting! So the CPanel's version is XMB's Magic Lantern final? And how easy is it to skin?

Not tried, not had time to look at it.....
Just set it up thru cpanel and made a quick logo for the site and that was it....
Will have a look some day when Im bored, but to be honest I use phpbb and vb, and they both good boards to work with.
Also just installed burning board: http://www.gate-keeper.org.uk/forum/main.php not as many features as phpbb and vb but it looks ok!
Hi MacGirl, Fairly easy to skin. http://www.auservers.net/forum/
HAL :)
Hi Hal - nice skins on that board! The site is nicely done as well - is this your site or did you build it for someone?
I'm falling in love with Invision Board (http://invisionboard.com/)
Hi c-aris, Yes it is one of my sites...fairly recent set-up, conservative in design. The XMB forum is easy to skin using hex codes in the admin section. Just keep the template sizes the same and you won't run into trouble. It lacks the power of some of the more popular ones but it is O.K for a small community.
Milkman is suggesting the "Invision" board. It looks good. Is it easy to set-up? It appears FREE? :D
HAL  :D
What about YabbSE?
Good-looking, less bandwidth consume.
See its performance on www.phptalk.com
Recomended:
YaBBSE
Invision
PHPBB
VBulletin
XMB

Hi..Milkbar, sorry about the offender to the gender :) I will try not to do THAT again...
HAL
Well, I [i:70cb03f13c]suppose[/i:70cb03f13c] I could forgive you :P
Invisionboard is EASY to set up. And believe me, if I can do it easily, [i:bc4d6a67bf]anyone[/i:bc4d6a67bf] can!
What's gonna be hard is converting an Ikonboard to Invisionboard
Yes, Hal, Invisionboard really is free :) The gold version was recently released, and is very stable. As for skinning...well, I'm still trying to figure out their skinning engine. But you can get help at www.ibskins.com
