I've figured it out :)

All possible answers are multple of 9's, if you look at pictures 9,18,27 etc they are all the same it just refreshes these images when you go into it again. Nice trick though!

but how does it know which multiple to display? after all, the number you choose is in your head...

Each time you load the page up, the 9,18,27... pictures change a different image thus tricking you into thinking that you are picking different numbers each time but in fact every number you end up with is a multiple of 9, very simple math but a very good trick to get people confused i'll have some fun with this at uni tommorow :)
