I think without even seen it that the second Lord of the Rings "The Two Towers" movie will be the best this year. The Star Trek movie Nemesis will be good of course and although I am a bit of a trekkie I was a hobbitter long before that.
I'll be off to see the new James Bond Movie (Die Another Day) next week so that should tide me over until the second Hobbit movie comes out on Friday, December 13th.
I've heard a lot about The Ring being the scariest movie ever made. Don't know, haven't seen it. In the new year I'm anticipating The Matrix Reloaded. If you want to see the 'trailers' of these or other movies you can check them out at http://www.movies.com. If you don't have cable or adsl don't try and download these unless you got a lot of spare time.

I really want the new Matrix... wasn't such a big fan or LOTR because i can't get over that absolutely no ending thing. Bond kicked ass. It was very well done, way better than Tomorrow Never Dies and The World Is Not Enough, at par with Goldeneye.
The Emporer's Club was a good drama type movie (bring your girlfriend to that one).

I think my wife might object if I took anyone but her to a movie. :P
I've heard that the new Bond movie is the best one by Pierce. Which brings up another topic which I think I will make into a poll.
Who is the best Bond.
Personally I like Roger Moore. I'm pretty sure the majority will say otherwise but......
Yes, the ending of Matrix was very appropriate for the movie.

Haha, classic, Dennis.
I thought LOTR was an awesome film, can't wait for the second one. Am lookin forward to seeing Bond too, haven't found the time to get up and go yet! :)

I am looking forward to James Bond and Star Trek Nemesis (trekkie from waaaay back).
Matrix is the one I'm really looking forward to - love all those long black coats (black everything) and kicking butt!
Hate to admit it, but I'm also looking forward to Harry Potter! Brings out the kid in me!
My husband and I went to see "Frida" and loved it - it was very artistic!
As for the Emperors Club....I think my husband wouldn't mind if I took my girlfriend as long as he could come along too!
Glad to find some fellow trekkies here :D I was beginning to think I was all alone in the world
I haven't been able to watch many movies this year :( but my all-time favorite is Shawshank Redemption :!:
Ohh and if you havent already you HAVE TO see the Emperor's New Groove (the cartoon).. I've never laughed so much in me life!

all time favorites, mine is The Great Escape.
Where else do you have so many top class actors in one film. Plus it's based on a true story. If you have never seen this movie then you are missing one of the classics of all time.
Dennis
hmm, I really like Pierce, but that is my generation, Sean Connery was good too.
I with Dennis on this one... Moore was my favourite Bond, Live and Let Die is my favourite Bond film, with the Man with the Golden Gun in a close second place (Lulu for the Bond theme, what were they thinking?!?!?! :) )
New films wise, I'm trying my best to avoid being dragged to see the Potter film

[b:82499e467a]BOND ROCKS[/b:82499e467a]
Me and my girlfriend (aka wife) went to the Bond movie last night.
Action packed, suspense, fast cars, neat spy toys.
What more could you ask for? There was so much action going on that at the end of the movie I was dizzy.
As for Harry Potter, well I'll leave that one to my grandson.
