Domain hosting

Greetings,
I was looking at creating an account and I was wondering what is meant by "free domain" if the account is paid annually.

If Im wrong Im sure a kualo staff member will correct me... but i believe its exactly what it says... a free domain...

Normally a domain such as yourname.com would cost $10-15 a year (if you register it yourself through another company)... by paying for a year upfront they are giving you this for free... so if you want long term hosting go for this as you will save some money.

Thanks, this leads me to wonder what they do in the case of a name transfer. I'm guessing they would extend my current registration for a year since my domain is paid through September.

Im not sure what they do in that case... maybe you could register another domain... so you could have yourdomain.com and yourdomain.net pointing to your site?

Hello,

You can use your domain credit any time within your 12 months subscription - just let us know whenever you want it and on which domain. If it is to renew an existing domain, and it is a .com, .net or .org, you need to let us know at least 60 days in advance as we need to transfer it into our system.

I look forward to welcoming you to Kualo!

Best regards,

Jo
