Anyone using GMail yet?

Have been using it for about a day now, not really that impressed! Design is very simple, cannot read more than one message at a time because they insist on using javascript links all over the place, no indication when there is a new mail in a folder (for example if an email is moved to spam you can't tell there is a new one in there to check if it really is spam). I've given them my feedback and I'm sure a lot of other people feel the same way so hopefully once it's out of BETA they will have it all sorted.

On the plus side you get 1000MB space and since I got in early a fairly nice email. Was annoyed that 6 letters is the shortest allowed meaning I couldnt have steve@gmail.com

Anyone here tried it yet? If so what did you think about it?

Haven't used it yet... I was interested in testing it out though. How do you sign up though because I haven't seen any kind of signup link on the Gmail home page?

It is hard to get an account, from what i can gather.
If you have a google blogger account they have been randomly picking beta testers from them. Also if you know someone who has a gmail account already they can give invitations.

I think these are the only two ways of getting accounts, i might be wrong.

Another 3-6 months before GMail is available for public signup I think. I managed to get an invitation recently so have an account set up. It's nothing special really, guess it's just nice to have a good address before they are get taken like hotmail. Doubt I'll ever really use it except for when I sign up for things I don't want going to my business account.
