Anyone else get this while viewing forum?
Sometimes when I am posting I am in a rush so I'll just click the X as soon as I get the confirm its posted and its redirecting me back to wherever...
ok my problem is this sometimes when i close that window IE will just start opening up mass IE windows 1 after the other, and it wont stop, I let it get to 200 or so pages once but there is NO way to stop it. CTRL ALT DEL brings up the box but you can only close 1 at a time, and its opening them as fast as it possibly can. clicking the x doesnt work because they wont open in full screen so they are all slightly offset.... Anyone have this happen to them before? Its happen to me 3 times at work and once at home (work comp AMD K6-2 450mhz, comp at home 1800mhz athlon) Just kinda annoying when it happens since I cant save anything open. Then I have to hit the reboot switch since it wont let me shut down from the ctrl alt del box. Any ideas? Thanks! Kirk |

Then just let me tell you,
OH MY GOD its annoying:P It does it on a few comps using the same 6.0****** version of IE. I was thinking that I have no idea why its doing it:P because either the 1st page is opening them all (cant be since i always close that first) or each page is running the same script like a java bomb I dont know much about forums tho, could me stopping the return script somehow make it reload a blank page with the same script that tells it to reload the same page again? and its not like it tells it just once so its like 1 2 4 16 it gets alot fast and bogs the comp up.... I know this cant ever be fixed because its probably just something that rarely happens.. I will test and see if I can get it to do it a very specific way and send the instructions on how to crash yourself! *edit* i changed my mind i would have to do this on your forums and that would eat not only bandwidth but it would make a ton of useless posts. I'll just keep an eye out if it does it to me again and remember exactly what happen. |
