A few questions

1) When I try to look up the knowledge base for pre-sales FAQs (or any FAQs for that matter), should I be getting blank answer spaces?
2) The information for the hosting packages states that you can pay by money order. However, other than paying yearly, I'd need to plan ahead. If I did sign up, who/when to talk to about possibly paying money orders on a quarterly or 6 month basis?
3) I can't seem to find a TOS. Directions please?
4) What sort of security measures are in place when dealing with member's accounts? I'm leaving my old host for absolutely ridiculous 'security' measures that were taken after my site was hacked, so I'd just like to be sure.

Thanks for the help.

Re: A few questions

Hi, thanx for your interest in our hosting services. I hope you find the answers to your satisfaction if not please let us know.

A: If you are checking from http://support.kualo.com you should after clicking on the knowledge base link simply click on one of these links,

Kualo Helpdesk: Knowledge Base

• Pre-Sales • Getting Started
• Control Panel • Web Host Manager
• Reseller Guidelines • Email Issues
• mySQL Issues • DNS
• CGI/Perl Script • SSH

It would give you a list of the answers in our knowledge base FAQ.

2) The information for the hosting packages states that you can pay by money order. However, other than paying yearly, I'd need to plan ahead. If I did sign up, who/when to talk to about possibly paying money orders on a quarterly or 6 month basis?
A: If you are in Canada then I can make those arrangements for you. If you are in the U.S. or the UK then you will have to make those arrangements with Jo Stonehouse.

3) I can't seem to find a TOS. Directions please?
http://usa.kualo.com/aup.php or
http://ca.kualo.com/aup.php or
http://uk.kualo.com/aup.php

4) What sort of security measures are in place when dealing with member's accounts? I'm leaving my old host for absolutely ridiculous 'security' measures that were taken after my site was hacked, so I'd just like to be sure.
A: If you are referring to other than payments as you mentioned payments by money order or check we take the security of our clients accounts seriously. If someone does not follow the AUP and jeopardizes the well being of our servers or the service, reliability of our clients accounts then we will take immediate and appropriate action. This would include suspension of such accounts, and termination if necessary. We also know that if you wish to be a reseller that anonymity is important and we take all the appropriate measures to ensure you receive the best service possible while maintaining an invisible presence to your clients. If you were referring to personal or banking information we use merchant providers such as WorldPay and PaySystems and PayPal if requested. We don't divulge any information regarding your account to anyone. We do not sell account information to marketing companies. We take our business seriously and we strive to provide you with the best hosting experience possible for your hard-earned dollars.

Thanks for the help.[/quote:2570f534de]

You are most welcome,

Hi,

Sorry for the delay in responding to your email. Jo has not been on holiday, but we are running a reduced support service due to Christmas and New Year. Jo receives a lot of mail, so it might just be that yours was overlooked. If this is the case, please accept our apologies. If you would be willing to to send the email to:

info@kualo.com, we will be sure to respond to it.

Best regards,

Craig.

Well, it certainly wasn't doing that the other day!

I'll fix that for you now. Sorry for any inconvenience this has caused.

Best regards,

Craig.

the forums are a great place for answers, especially now because of the reduced support staff.

Yeah, we are all trying to reduce after eating too much turkey and stuffing (execpt Navin).

With the turkey all gone  and our goals renewed for New Years : we will get back to our regular support schedule starting January 3rd.

Hope you all had an enjoyable holiday season and we wish you the best in 2003 and prosperity for all.
